I live in Western Illinois and cut about 4 acres with a worn out Scag. Would like some tips on what to buy next.
I maintain my equipment regularly, keep it under roof and have no plans to do any commercial cutting, just the 4+ acres of old pasture turned to lawn.
Price obviously important, but want to choose the best quality for the $. Prefer 60 inch cut. What should I expect to pay, and who is best to deal with?
    Thanks very much.

Most of the folks on this board will reccomend Exmark, Scag, Dixie Chopper or Toro. Go look at those names and figure out which ones you like, then ask "which one to buy".

YEH! What P&J said! Take a look at Hustler's new Fastrak and the mini Z. You'll be looking at the $5-$6K price range. You can go up to 52" on the Fastrak and mini. Would have to step up the the Regular Z to get a 60".
