The new (used) truck I picked up has rust in the hidden hitch. I have tried everything I know to get the rust out. No luck  . Can't get the hitch in! Ideas please that I might of over looked. Thanks in advance!

chipping it out, wire brush, wd-40, chisel, no luck. The hitch will go in 3/4 of the way. I can see the glob of rust, just can't get through it.

put the hitch in as far as it will go and back slowly into a block wall somewhere. it should push it on in.

I tried that once and poked through the block wall.

Best advice is to get a new hitch....theyre not much
