If I am quoting something for pruning and don't know the name but don't want to look like an idiot, I just might write "prune 3 large shrubs next to walkway" etc. Always good to learn a new one though. I'm not embarrassed to tell a client I don't know every shrub though.

I think this shrub has to be the most mis-pronounced shrub in the industry. It always puts a smile on my face to hear someone read it and say anything. Its not a Wagula. wuh-geel-ia

I usually do that as well but I like to be as detailed as possible about what is getting done. I prefer to know what things are so that I can do research about pruning, planting.

My guess would have been for the Red Prince variety of Wegelia but the leaves may have a little to much lime green in them. Possibly Tango
