I had the bearings replaced in a spindle assembly on my Exmark WB at the dealer and now I have to try to get the pulley back on the spindle shaft. I was wondering if anyone could lend some advice on how to do this easily. I placed the pulley on top of the spindle and tried to hit it down with a dead blow hammer but the pulley and the shaft have no play in order to get it down and I am also wondering how to center it on the shaft if I do indeed have to hit it on , It is very close in tolerances and wonders from side to side as I strike the top of the pulley. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

put bottom of spindle on a piece of board(so you don't scar up the end.) place pulley on top of spindle, you will have to find a deep socket etc. to use top drive it down over the top of the spindle. to make it go straight down instead of side to side.. hope that helped some.
