So we are starting a landscaping business and were considering a used walk behind mower that was 52". Now I am wondering your thoughts on this one: http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/grd/544270575.html

What are your thoughts? Good first machine? We will be doing mostly 1/2acre and up usually.

Looks ok. Get the serial # and call Toro, they can give you more info. (repairs, stolen etc.) Make sure the gear box's don't leak oil and always keep them filled. (I've had to rebuild a few of those) It won't handle as well as a "midmount" ZTR but not bad imo. Good Luck

Go with the walk behind idea. They are faster, and MUCH more versatile.
