We are working on a simple design for a day care in the area. They now need some planting design around their sign. The sign is 3ft of the ground, about 6ft wide and 4ft tall. I'm thinking some tall grasses or the like on the sides and then some colorful, yet tasteful shrubs under the sign. Full sun. Any ideas as to what plants to use and where?

I was thinking some tall evergreens or grasses to go with the height of the sign, blak eyed susans for color or just some english boxwoods for some formality. Any ideas.... Need to have some ideas by morning.

I'd suggest junipers and some daylillies.

    i agree....

i personally would use some boxwoods and day lilies. they are relatively low maintenance and look good. may throw 1 or 2 things more in, but nothing major depending on the sign, i love using arborvitae trees, they appeal to me for some reason.... maybe one on each end of the sign? dont know.... keep us posted
