boots is on a roll today
My friend wants $5,750 for the trailer. I think thats a really good price. New its 9.5k+ It's not even a year old. So prolly alot more now with the price of steel and all.
I just sold an '06 Anderson tandem 10k lb dually 33 cu. yd. dump for $7k.
The trailer was in much better shape than the one your friend is selling.
Dump trailers around here (New Orleans) are a dime a dozen, as post-Katrina debris clean up has really slowed down.
I'd advise you to check the New Orleans craigslist ads as well as nola.com (local newspaper) classifieds.
You should be able to fine a larger, more solid trailer in better condition for around the same price you're going to pay for your buddies.
Hope this helped.
Looks like a nice trailer, one question though, have you thought about loosing bed space in the pickup with it being a gooseneck? I dont know how important that is to you but just throwing it out there.
Dump trailers are genious.
Right now all I have is a bumper pull 16" landscape trailer. I need that to be soley for maint. It doubles for installs, and is a pain to move stuff around, plus we're too busy to do both in one truck.
I will look on the new orleans deal, thanks for the heads up.
