I have owned Scag mowers exclusively since 1995. I buy new every 5 years or so and will be pulling the trigger on a zero turn rider with a bagging system in a week or two. Cost is not an issue nor is dealer support. I have never had a problem with Scag and LOVE the velocity deck. But now I'm thinking about trying something new! There is a certain amount of risk involved when switching brands and I'm not one to take many unnecessary risks with my business and its always paid off. I'm so close to pulling the trigger on the Gravely Pro Turn 400 series and really like what I see. My problem is I am loosing sleep thinking about the deck. I don't know if it will cut good and I'm really nervous about cutting in wet conditions. Gravely has been awesome and wants me to demo but we wont have grass for about a month. I need this mower to start the season because of the need for the bagging system. So my question is should I stick to what I know works(Scag)? Or should I try something new and exciting and take a chance(Gravely)?
