I usually stick to small 50x100 residential lots in the spring for power raking but one of my clients moved outside the city and wanted an estimate for her new property. I was there today and there is 18,500 sq. ft. of lawn to be raked (not including the house). My price for her yard before moving was $55. The new yard also has fairly long grass. Any ideas?

I agree that $55 is low but if I want to work I have to be competitive and thats the going rate around here. In fact i've seen signs posted 39.95 for up to 5k square feet. I think this will be the last year I do Power Raking. Aerating is much less work and it pays almost as well.

Just to clarify my earlier post. $55 for an average yard - which is 5000 square feet and a good portion of that is house/driveway.
