I am just starting and need some input on what kind of truck I should buy. I am buying used in the $10,000 - $25,000 range and I will need to pull a 3.5 ton dump trailer and ride on mower.

Why would you want go into 25k worth of debt on a startup business?

I'm a firm believer in paying cash unless you absolutely have to.

I agree. A 10k truck will do the trick... heck you can even buy an isuzu cabover w/ less than a 100k for 7-9k.

You should be able to find a good truck (pick-up, dump truck, or cab over) for under $10 grand if you know where to look. I dont see a need to go into that much debt right off the bat like others are saying! Start small and let the business grow and then grow your equipment to match the needs of the business! JMO
