Hi, over the winter rats chewed thru 5 wires of the ECU "black box" wiring harness of my 1992 toro 580D. So far, 27 rats have paid the ultimate price for this, but they have gotten me good. This is the foot long wiring harness that attaches to the ECU and main wiring harness, wires are not color coded, documentation and wiring diagrams iffy, not too much is making sense. Discontinued at dealer.
I could easily resolder the wires, just dont know where they go and don't much want to experiment. So, I would greatly appreciate any of the following:
1. tips on salvage yards that have 580D's
2. this part for sale
3. "renting" a part just to ohm out the wires and where they go
4. Paying for someone to ohm out the 5 wires, I can identify via email which 5 terminals on the wiring harness plug are affected; I just need to know where they land on the two plugs that connect to ECU.

Thanks in advance for any help. Death to rats.

Well, I stared at it long enough, and got enough clues to fix it and its running fine. The clues were all the documentation, and noting the actual plugs had markings on them, and the color coding on main harness, the color code conversion chart, and so on. It was a five step process. It was a pain.
