Cboy7, I posted a similar query thread about this engine, and got zippo responses. I guess you and I are going to be the first here to have them. I should be getting mine on a toro G3 in a week or two.

You know, if you buy a walk behind at the same time you can get in on Exmarks fleet program discount. I just got a flyer from the local Exmark dealer saying they're running a special for the next couple weeks that lets you qualify for the fleet program with only 6 points. The lazer is 4, and the walk behind is 2. You might want to check it out. You could end up getting the walk behind for a song. I'm using the opportunity with Toro to upgrade to a hydro.

Thanks for the response.

yea the guy said they are literally just now being shipped from the factory. was supposed to be Jan 2010.

I dont need a walkbehind, but also was wondering how much a discount they have for fleet program. I am sure I could talk a friend into dropping 10k on one as well

My dealer said notta about the fleet program. Said a ZTR is 4 points and you need 12 to qualify. It's a 15% discount and he already takes 10% meaning an extra 5% if you buy 3 units. I mentioned the recent drop in points and he knew nothing of it. Go figure, but I'm not buying a WB just for the hell of it either. Oh, and my price on a 29Kaw 60" Next Lazer Z was $10,182 plus $2799 for triple bag bagger. So 10,500 is within reason I'd say.

Kohler is still using a closed-loop automotive style efi. It's the best fuel injection system available. I haven't run the new style yet, but I have a lot of faith in it.

Thanks, Tacoma. It's taken a while to get ztr's with this engine to dealers, so I thought I'd give everyone a heads up that they're on the way. I was a little leery about buying a new model engine, but my understanding is it's the same platform as their other EFI's, which like yourself, people seem pleased with. Guess I'll be one of the first to provide a review on this new engine, soon as the ski lifts close and grass starts to grow, here in the mountains.

Good to see you posting again.

Congrats, Cboy, you beat me to it. Mine's suppose to come in next Tuesday. My dealers been frustrated trying to get it in, Toro has been slow getting them out of the factory too. Let me know how you like yours.

What are your impressions as far as the Ultra Cut vs the Turbo Force decks?
