When is the best time to go after new accounts. I have usally sought after new accounts in late feb or early march. But I am looking to further my area. I know the accounts and who their landscapers are. I'm just wandering if it is too early to sort of speak invading the area. These accounts are all motels and stores.

and ask them (if) and when they will be accepting bidson their grounds maintenance contracts. They may say bring one by now, or say we except bids every March, etc.

The best thing to do is get in contact with them, and keep following up and calling them on the dates they give you.

    Hope this helps!

Any time is a good time to get your name out there. For commercials, as guido said, call them. Usually they renew contracts at the beginning of the year, so getting your foot in the door now is a good idea. That is not always the case though. By calling and asking, you will also find out if the contract is over 1 yr long and if so when it is due for bid. Good luck.
