I was looking at buying a Kubota or a bad boy and after demowing both. The bad Boy hands down! Night and day difference. It was like the difference when I test drove a Ford and a Tundra. It really is a BAD BOY!
On any Bad Boy thread the spoiler is one of the first things that is attacked. Might be because I'm a redneck but I kinda like the spoiler and not afraid to say it. I'm probably the target demographic for Bad Boy.
I tried to go look at them several years ago but none of the dealers around here carried them for very long, until recently I seen one of the dealers that caters more towards larger farm equipment started carrying them.
Kind of odd it has that, but no ROPS. Unless the owner removed them. I could see that spoiler catching a good sized limb, or guide wire and making it for a bad day. I would remove it if it was mine. No one around here runs BadBoy, so I have yet to see one in person.
That is what I want to know as well. I seen a bunch of cut pics but they were all from a dealer. I want to see actual users / owners post their cut pics.
I'll take some pic's of the cut next week and put them up. I demowed the bad boy and a Kubota. I really put the Bad Boy through it's paces. Long tall wet grass in the morning. I lowered the deck to 2" and went wide open trying to see what was left behind. Looked like a freshly vacuumed carpet when I was done. I mowed about five acres with the Bad Boy and only about an acre with the Kubota ZD326. Couldn't stand the Kubota. Had a beautiful cut however the controls were slow, stiff, ride was rough. Couldn't wait to get off. Got it stuck twice where the Bad Boy glided right our the rolling turf. I could do without the spoiler and the fact that it's not a main stream mower like Kubota, exmark, toro, scag and others didn't matter after the demo. Totally sold me. The way that it's built is also the other reason. Two hydro pumps, two hydro filter, two hydro reservoirs, clear tubing so you can see the 20-50 oil flowing. just neat engineering. I was dead set on buying the Kubota. Ended up with the Bad Boy.
Here in Oregon I haven't seen any. I really didn't know a lot about them until the demo. Wow was I impressed. It's just a totally different ride than all the other ZT's I have tried. I'm real happy about the choice I made. Bad Boy XP Outlaw with 61"/31 hp Kaw.
