I am going to start a business in Northwestern CT. Currently I have a full time job at a gas station making about 22k a year roughly. I have 2 credit cards, no debt and a great credit rating. My gf also has a credit card, no debt but no credit history. I live with my parents and pay little rent and have very little expenses. I currently have a 1990 Chevy 1500 4x4 with 70,000 miles, echo bp blower, shindaiwa trimmer, stihl chain saw, lots of hand tools, a older 22inch mower. I will be leaving my job this winter to work for a big landscaping company as a snow plow driver. My plan is to save up enough money for a new mower, a back up, another bp mower and another string trimmer. I will also be buying a small trailer. What do I need for a business license if any? I am having a hard time finding info on this. I will be getting insurance through my parents plan. I was considering buying a used scag and a used truck with dump bed. Should I just get a new mower if i can afford one? After all I will be keeping it for the long run. I have a hand full of accounts right now, mostly friends. Thanks guys, so far I am loving this forum, lots of info.

I would buy used .....or pay cash if you save up enough but when you go full time you will want to conserve some cash...
