I'm thinking about starting up a lawn business. Does anyone have any suggestion on what I should do first.

Get a job at an existing one and see if you are cut out for it before investing in equipment

Your stats show you have 21+ years in the business, you should have a pretty good idea by now.:usflag:

Get a massive loan and buy all top of the line equipment. Go big cause you're credit score will drop if your business doesn't get off the ground and then you won't be able to buy all the nice equipment. So while you have it, use it.

I believe the biggest part of the puzzle is learn how to attract new clients to do business with you.

Next, study the rest of the lawn care guys in your area looking for holes in the way they transact. Do they show up on time? Are they dressed decently? Do they have the proper equipment?

Find a way to set yourself apart: Make the customer feel special. Go the extra mile and your phone will ring off the hook.

    And read "The E-Myth"
