I have missed the best time of year to advertise and get new clients, my question is, should i go ahead and pack it in till next season, or is it feasible to be able to get 30-40 new clients by the end of april/may? Any of you still getting clients? I wold just need about 30-40 to stay alive and want to know if its possible. Also for some of you uber marketers, what kind of callback/client sign are you getting from your flyer/doorhangers? Any help would be awesome.

Sorry to jump on this tread but I can't post treads yet for some reason. Can someone start a tread regarding PH prob testers. I just bought a Mosser Lee Soil Master Moisture, PH and light tester for $10 and didn't know how accurite it is and if anyone owns one or another brand. Thanks to whom posts for me

Yeah I sent out only 450 postcards to select area, landed my first full service agreement a week later. Been stale since last night got an email request from my site due to that postcard. So I think more people start calling towards april. Hustle sucka!

I started with my flyers about a week and a half ago. Got about 5 calls so far, but all the bermuda here is still brown and not growing yet, hoping people are holding on to them and will call when the grass starts growing. Most of them will probably call when its a foot high! Putting out about 300 - 500 a day this week hoping to get more. Cut two saturday and two today!

just dont give up. we just started back this wk cutting regular costumers for easter. i picked up 3 new clients yesterday. give out your cards and flyers. but most importantly let your work talk for u. ill be surprise at how people talk. out of the 80 residential yards i have 40% came from my clients refering my to people. so as long as the price is right and the job is done right you shouldnt have problems getting more customers

The season is starting late this year in MS. We are just now adding new people to our list. I have only been mowing for 5 weeks, mostly leaves and initial cutting of the dead grass and flowers that are springing up.

I have about the same percentage rate you stated. So 15 years ago I quit doing the mail out and hangers. Don't believe I was seeing much of a growth from it. It is true the newbees have to do something. The last few years most of my customers have been added in the August, September time frame.
