Tommorow I'm going to bid on a brand new commercial property, that just had sod laid down. I know I will get the bid, but I'm not sure how to handle the new sod. I know its been laid for a couple weeks now, I know this will really differ because I'm not quite sure at exactly what stage the sod is at, but how does everyone else handle newly laid sod?. How long do you wait before the first cut? What would you cut it with? As much as I am afraid, I may have to cut the whole damn thing with a 21. I dunno, I would like to hear inputs.

I think i would stay off it with any kind of large mower for at-least 3 weeks, then just be REAL carfull.

Walk around and give it a few good yanks here and there. If its all anchored down good then there shouldn't be any problems. 3 or 4 weeks is usually sufficient.
