I’m a hardworking teen who runs a small-scale lawn business. Right now, I am looking to make money while gaining experience in the lawn maintenance industry. Hopefully, after a couple of years in the business, I will accumulate enough money to start upgrading equipment and expand my business. I balance high school with my job and am willing to dedicate my whole summer to work, if necessary. I work alone, but can hire an extra hand if the job requires it. I work solely in the residential community. My equipment arsenal includes a decent walk-behind mower, a ryobi blower, a weed-wacker, a wheelbarrow, all necessary shovels, brooms, rakes, etc., a gas edger, and a snow blower. I have transportation, but no trailer. I already have 2 set jobs and am looking to get 4 jobs for the season. I also maintain my own property, without set pay. I distribute flyers and spread my business via word of mouth. I listed my services as lawn mowing, weed trimming, edging of all hardscapes, driveways, sidewalks, etc., mulch spreading, concrete driveway sealing, flower bed maintenance, leaf removal, and snow removal. I do my job as good as or better than the established lawn care co’s in my area.
-I’m looking for input on pricing for my services.
-Should I take the payment when job is completed, or send weekly/monthly invoices.
-Any other input is appreciated.

pricing service is different for about everyone on here to get a idea on what to charge .
I look at what i paid for my equipment and how much time i want from each piece .
then i add what i wanted to make per hour. is if i working for someone else.
i look at profit as growth .if you have a payment for any equipment you made no profit

as far as receiving pay for a job i send invoice soon as job complete .
mowing and snow plow clients i send invoice on the 1st of each month .
