I did a sod job one year ago and i wanted to go back and core aerate the lawn. The sod appears healthy, do you think that it would be OK to aerate the lawn or do you think one year is too soon?

Always good to aerate. Helps the roots get the full benefit from the rain and fertilizer as well. I always fertilize when i aerate. I say goo ahead unless your in a dry season when their is not much water.

Core away, John..just wait until the grass is actively growing before aeration.

when I worked at the course we always aerrated the second fall after the sod had been laid down. It was the rule of thumb. It was an expensive course we put down a lot of sod. Not much fun I hated it. Just make sure the roots have took hold before you plug away.

If it's been tacked down a year do it. Aeration is a good thing.
