We did raise our min to $45 when gas hit $3, but now that is back to $2 our min is $40.

We tell them when they call $40 is our min, sure does save time and fuel.

I cant wait till I have enough of a customer base to just flat out name my price.....It will be $20 minimum across the board no matter what. Down here though its ridiculous, I just picked up a few lawns from some chic who was selling her lawn equipment, I called and asked what she was doing with her lawns and she offered them to me. Then I see where she was charging people who live on almost a quarter acre lots only $50 a MONTH...!! These people have 5-10 beds and islands in their yard (tons of line-trim basically) and only charging $50 a month....So when I jacked the price to $70 on 2 of them who live across the street from one another they both balked and looked at me like Im a criminal or somethin....pissed me off. Its poeple like her though that are kinda messin it up for actual small business guys down here cause they come to expect those prices, then when they do have to give in and pay 70-100 a month they are expecting so much that you really cant make them happy anyway.....move on.......:walking:

15 is the lowest I go, only have two of them and I basically drive right by them, and it takes me 4 minutes including load and unload by myself...

except i have a few trailers that are $10, but I do 5 of them in 20 minutes..

I checked the 50 or more box. Our crews are fully booked for 50-55 hours already each week. The last thing I need to do is pull our crew off of their regular route for a one-time mowing job for $25.00.

Now if we are already next door or something, sometimes I'll make an exception and do a quick $30 mow and edge or something - IF we have the time. But otherwise, I won't send a mowing crew to someone's house for less than about $100 usually.

My minimum has not to do with price, but with space. All my accounts are in a 3 mile radius so I will not DRIVE across town. Because of this fact, I do most 30 to 35, but have some that are 65, and some that are 7.50. I mean if you have a "lawn" beside another customer that is literally 10 feet by 10 feet, and takes seconds to mow, I bet you would do it for 7.50 too. I figure that one little lawn gives me 1000 bucks an hour (for a few seconds anyway), lol. No minimum here, you just have to be a minimum distance!

why charge different prices for work? I don't care what I'm doing. why work for 29 per hr one day and 40 the next day. I have a min of 35 per hr. if there is a lot of hills/trimming or have to haul stuff up steps all day. than I charge more. for mows set a min $25. I have 7 accts. under 5.5k sqft.that I charge only $15 per cut. but I get 125-175 for a clean up per house fall and spring. mark up all delieverys 20%. I only run a crew of 2 with a part time guy. I can't pay my workers a different rate by the job.

    $30 minimum, regardless of job.
