I had a year old Redmax 7001 blower with hip throttle. The handle mounted to the tube was fixed in 1 position. I got the same model this year, but the handle now pivots. At first, I thought this was a great idea, but as I use it, I find that it's a bit sloppy and harder to control. Rather than moving the tube where I want it to go, it seems like I spend more effort trying to counter the movement of the handle. It's not a really big deal, but I liked the older design better. Does anyone else have any opinion on this and know what it would take to change it out?

The pivot is a great feature, as it can be adjusted for the arm lenght of the operator.
you can tighten up the joint so it will not pivot as easily, that should solve your problem with no cost.
