I am currently waiting for the snow to melt to start installing new lawns. i am trying to figure it out how much I should charge for an approximate 1000 sq ft lawn area that needs to be seeded. I need to bring new soil, and that takes me to the second question. How much soil should I bring to cover at least 3" for the whole 1000 sq ft.

I am guessing $1000 for the whole project. Is that too much? too little?
    any advice will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

You would need about 10.5 -11 yards of topsoil. 6-8# of seed per 1k ft2, 2# per 1K starter fertilizer, plus straw or Pennmulch for cover.
