I have a new site coming soon....

WeldingEDU.com , site logo will be something like ... WeldingEDU.com, Educating the welding industry through peer to peer interaction.

This site will be setup very similar to LawnSite.com.

Here you can see some of the work I have done already.

Nothing like trying show someone to weld a triangular weave pattern on vertical up welding with the proper arc gap over the internet...

Also a little page criticism. The Logo (is that what that is?) is dinky in the upper right hand corner. First of all, it starts directly at the edge of the left. Also, it's needs contrast. That thin black on blue sky does'nt please the eye. Third, the font style isn't suiting.

My recommendation? Create a white oval or rectangle with rounded corners. Make it the same width as the link "frame" on the left. Create a spiffy, bold logo inside. Then create a nice transtion into that pretty blue background with bevel effects or drop shadow or anything else that incorporates the logo into the backround but makes a statement..

I'll make it to show you, if you'd like... Also, the lawnsite logo on the very top left, it's a bit jagged around the edges. Maybe just because it's GIF format...

Your looking at a template set only ... about 15 minutes worth of work. The logo is a mock up ... for space filling only.

Interesting idea Chuck - didn't realize there was that much interest in the "burning" field!

One thought with regard to the name - "WeldingEDU.com" seems a little awkward, as compared to "Lawnsite" or "Plowsite". Although, I don't have any ideas at the moment for a different name....................................

If the setup will be similar to LS/PS, will the ability to post pics be the same? That is a big help IMO when explaining things.

    Sure it is... :)

In that case, it looks real nice

I picked WeldingEDU because after a little research I have found that about 85% of people using the Internet to find anything to do with welding are looking for educational stuff.

WeldSite.com simply does not ring the bell for me... also, weldingsite.com is already taken and a lot of traffic would be lost to this site.

Yes, pictures would be a very important thing.
