Help a nonprofit park out please. I have a new pavilion that is coming online. It is in an old hayfield right now that I killed off w/ roundup last year.

I have about 1 acre of grass to plant around it plus another 1 in an adjoining area.

You are also helping out a scout who is going to be doing the work for an eagle scout project :cool2:

The soil is sandy so we are hopefully having some topsoil hauled in to mix in with it near the disturbed soil surrounding the building.

This will be a high traffic area so the mix should be sturdy and drought resistant.

The scout will water initially but I am the only employee so no irrigation and no water in year 2+ most likely. I am lucky to keep up with mowing and all the duties of running a nonprofit (fund raising, etc)

    Scout will:
    -Prep area
-Cover w/ straw (about 100 bales /acre for 505 coverage)

Question: What seed mix for N. Indiana?
Question: Where do I get the seed?
    Question: Starter fertilizer specs?:

I found a Pennington midwest mix @ Lowes but assume I can get better through commercial sources?
