NEW SOD!! DOWN what next , kind of fert? if any

    what kind of fertilizer? and how much water.. how often.

    Enough water to keep wet, but not puddled.(Make sure to get the edges.) Dont fert yet as the sod has been well tended to in the past.

    fert the dirt first, water at least twice a day for 2 weeks

    I prefer to apply some Milorganite to the scarified earth before sodding and once the sod has shown two inch roots growing through, apply a starter fertilizer in a light app, or a good dose of Milorganite again.

    Some starter fertilizer to the topsoil, then hit the sod again a few weeks from now with starter fert.

    Nevermind the starter fertilizer. It isn't exactly what he needs. What it needs is high POTASSIUM for root establishment and growth. Also, stay away from the high nitrogen. The energy needs to be focused on other aspects of the growth.
