I am seriously considering starting a lawncare business in VA beach.
I know for a fact that I only want commercial accounts.

My first question is where do I start, and how hard it is to obtain a commercial account with no references.

My second question is what is a fair competitive rate to bid hourly.

If anyone can give some friendly advice please do. thanks...

You might be better off getting some residentials first to get started, then branch out into commercials. I don't see too many commercials going with someone with absolutely no references. What you can do with residentials is ask your customers about who's on the HOA board. That's how I got my first commercial bid. One of my customers was the president of the HOA, he liked my work and asked me to bid on the HOA. I ended up revoking my bid however, I didn't realize that they need snowplowing as well, couldn't find anyone to sub it out to.

As for pricing, that varies by area. Figure out what you want to earn after expenses and go from there.

    Hi OMC.INC,

Is there any reason why you only want commercial accounts?
