I have 5 acres to mow of my own and a couple acre campground to mow for my grandpa. I have never had a zero turn mower before and need some advice. I have found an Exmark Lazer 60 inch cut 28hp Kaw. for 7,999.00. Also have priced some Ferris mowers for around the same price the IS2000 61 inch 27hp Kaw. Which one would you buy and why please? Also what about bad boy mowers they are cheaper but is that for reason.

I would go with the exmark simply because I had several of them in the past and have always been happy.

If i were you though…I would base the decision on the dealer. If there isn’t a exmark dealer that also carries parts close to you then don’t buy the exmark. Mowers are nothing but machines and will break down in the future. There is no point in buying a mower if you can not get it serviced.

Hope this helps :)

I would go with ferris. It has full suspension and a new deck design that s been long over due. It cuts like the scag deck. I have run ferris for 11 years and have beat them up relentlessly and they just keep powering through. Very tough suspension design. I never had any issues with parts wearing out like some people think. It s a no brainer really, plush ride and amazing cut quality or get your lower back pounded on for hours.

We've run Exmarks for years. Their products are excellent. You will not be sorry.
