Well, yesterday I bought a new (used) truck. I surprised myself and bought a ford. I got a 04 F350 Crew Cab Long Box Diesel (6.0l) with 10000 miles on it. This replaces my 94 Dodge Ram Diesel. I must say that I absolutly love it so far, don't know my millege yet, but its pretty good, and I can't even feel my trailer behind my truck; that will happen when you double your horsepower from your previous truck. :blob3: I will post pics soon!

How do you compare it to the dodge w/ the cummings in it?

Ha, yeah I did love my dodge though, it was my first business vehicle and my first diesel, but it was pretty out dated, and it was costing me as much per month in repairs as my new truck. I didn't trade it in though... the dealer only offered my 2500.00 for it! I paid 7000 for it a two years ago, and put another 7000.00 into it, and put 800.00 of tires on it two and a half weeks ago, and it has an 8ft boss plow on it! I was kind of insulted, so I'm going to keep it around for my parents to use... how nice of me  ha ha ha. But I am a happy ford fan (never thought I'd say that!)

P.S. that new 6.0L Diesel is amazing! Ford got the injector problems fixed and I am SOOO impressed!

I don't know how fair of a comparison I can give you, my dodge was a 94 and people told me that it only had 160hp that year :(. My dodge would slow down pulling my trailer up hills, it really had to work hard, the ford doesn't even snort with the trailer.... at all. Its only a 6x12 enclosed trailer too, I don't know why the dodge had so much trouble with it. But like I said, it was an old dodge with 180000 miles on it... My cousin has an 04 dodge with the 24 valve and he loves his.... I found a good deal so I went with it, I should be happy with it for sure.

Congrats on getting the best pulling truck there is in my opinion. I got a F250 and never know that the trailer is back there unless I look in the rear view mirror.

I'll give ya $3500 for the dodge. A little tuning on it and it will get better fuel mileage than 6.0 and have more pulling power.

I am strictly a Dodge guy, but I have heard that the Ford has good power as well as the New Cummins. The bad thing I have heard with the Ford is that the mileage is almost the same as a gas motor where my Dodge 350 with a Cummins gets 18-20 empty and 14-16 loaded
