hello i went out to look at this ladies yard. The picture below is the aera in which she wants to grow a garden it is approximately 30 ft long by 15 deep. The brush needs to be removed as well as some stumps. Then the pine needles need to be racked and hauled away. Finally she want me to roto till it to yank up and left overs. Also the job has a lot of trees they want cut up and hauled away so this can potentially be a money maker. Please help i guess 8-10 hrs at 20 dollars an hour. see pic below and thanks.

Are you solo? Can you do it in 8-10 hrs by yourself? Your price per hour seems to be a bit on the low side. I would up it a bit. Here I charge $45.00 an hour. Thats the best I can get in my area. Dont be afraid if she says no to your price. If you are taking it away, dont be afraid to charge her for that too. Good luck and keep us posted.

I would also say that's a lot low. Unless you have all the equipment like tillers, and stump grinders your gonna have to rent them. To rent both of those for the day is already gonna cost ya more than $200. If your doing that all by hand with shovels with another guy your probably looking at more like 16-20 hours. Around here I've been landing jobs at $50-65 hour labor rate. Plus pulling stumps out of the ground is a PITA. I always charge more for PITA work. Hope that helps

just by looking at it I would think closer to 450-500 to do a job that size its going to take you a lot longer then you think when it comes to removing stumps with a pick and shovel and its gonna cost you to rent a stump grinder if you go that way

really think hard on this one its going to be a back breaker for little to no profit if not bid right

ya, I would say prob 6 hrs for two guys (to make me comfortable) PLUS rented equipment - we are talking around $750. If the soil is no good for garden, then she'll want some decent topsoil/compost to be tilled in as well. $700-900 all said and done and looking sexy! =D

If you are just starting out and are working on developing a name for yourself you might have to settle for less. But I would definitely go no less than $40/hr plus equipment rental. This is going to take you a good while.
