I know, do a search. Sorry guys, but please humor me. I'm down to crunch time on a ZTR purchase, and I'd appreciate input.

1. DC Coatsville 27hp Generac 60" deck
2. Grasshopper 25hp Kohler 61" deck
3. Exmark 25hp kawa? 60" deck

Maybe Toro. He's local, but I would only consider 500 series with new Turbo Deck.

DC is running around 7k, other options closer to 8k. Dixie price seams reasonable, others seem high.

Opinions?

I have tested the exmark, grasshopper and hustler and none of these machines came close to the kubota zd21 that we have used for 2 seasons now. If the turf areas you mow are flat like a football field just about any machine will be fine. The kubota really has nice features.I will never buy another rided that is not liquid cooled diesel.

we had a 225/61 grasshopper about 3 or 4 years ago. that thing got beat on so hard, then sold it for almost 5 grand, and it's still being used comercially to this day. it had over 1000 hours on it when it got sold for sure, but can't remember exactly. but that's all time of abuse. i wish i had a buck for every time that machine slid down the bank into the water.

I voted Grasshopper but it really depends on what works best for you and which dealer is better to work with and will take care of you. If you do go Grasshopper, get the Kubota diesel. You won't be sorry.
