Hey y'all...just wondering about fertilizing a new lawn after the first cut. My partner wants to just suggest what we use to start out germination, a 8-32-16. My feeling is that the new lawn could handle a higher nitrogen, 16 and help it go a darker green. Nothing hotter than that, just something to deepen the green.

    Any thoughts? Thanks...:blob2:

I think any "starter" fert would work just fine. Be careful about putting down to much N, my strategy at this point would be to help the roots and crowns get developed before I start worrying about the color of the lawn.

And if I may ask a few questions. What kind of grass is this lawn? What kind of soil is it in? How long is your growing season?
