    Hey guys,

Was cruising around the north Jersey craigs list and found this,
guy says if you'll take a min. of 200cy he will deliver free in essex, morris, passaic and somerset, maybe he'll go to other close counties/towns......with fuel prices and costs of trucking it's a pretty good deal.......

    Good luck fellas...........

Anyone call this guy? I could use about 400 yards of fill, but not enough to pay for it. Is he just delivering for free or is the material free. I'm usually cautious of these types of offers cause around here you could get anything. You get 400 yards dropped only to find out it is contaminated or something.

I did not call him as I have no need right now, but it was either his or another guy that said it was certified clean fill. I don't know what that means exactly but it might be worth a call..........

Now thats a hard area to loose fill. It would be a good xmas present for yourself if you found someone to take it for free!

I have clean fill available from a addition project. Dirt has very few rocks. It will be available through the end of the week. Currently have a loader on property to assist.

That's how we acquire all our fill.

Construction jobs happening, usually in metro areas. Dirt piles on site that must be hauled away. In the metro areas there is no where to dump, and the haulers usually must pay a dump fee. Usually a broker is involved (middle man).

So, they price the job with factoring in dumping fees.

But in the meantime - the haulers will place ads on craigslist with the hopes of finding a contractor that needs fill material. And they gladly will bring it for FREE. And they do!

Usually they like to bring 2-3 loads at a time, and you gotta be able to move the material FAST, as the trucks will roll in all day long.
