No blowout winterizing?

    While researching online I ran across this pdf file where a sprinkler company shows a HO how to winterize their own system in Denver. I figured all systems would be blown out in Denver, aren't they?

    If all the pipes are pitched right, and none of the heads have check valves, you could winterize like that page says, but I wonder about the use of a supply valve with a drain.

    You don't need to evacuate all of the water to prevent freeze damage. Just enough to keep it from bursting if it does freeze.
