Looking for a 36inch cut walkbehind for next year. Wanting fixed deck but with no-tool adjust and hydro drive. Only i've found so far in that deck size is Gravely.

Another question i have is reguarding to blades/mulching and bagging. I will be mostly mulching but the occasional client wants their house bagged due to long haired dogs or what not. If a mulching kit has baffles and all the stuff will it still bag well? I figured I'd see to get just baffles from a mulching kit and use the stock blades. and then get the bagging system.

any imput is appreciated. Thanks.

I have thought about doing the same thing, mulching on one lawn, bagging another. Won't work unless you want to remove the baffles all the time, talk about a PITA. Someone will have an idea, I'm fresh out. For me, discharging is out of the question, even with an OCDC.

Have never used a tool adjusting my eXmark deck. You CAN adjust the axle height, but I have been too lazy. I leave it in the next to top position, and have never seen any "scalloping". if you have a mulch kit in you absolutly cannot bag. good news is it takes me about 5 minutes to go from mulch kit to side discharge. I have a client i had to bag because of long haired dog, and with the mulch kit in and the occasional blowing the lawn with the blower, i have nocomplaints from him about clippings in the house.

I have been drooling over the new Gravely's for a while now. They seem to be REALLY well built. The only problem is that I need a 32". My SCAG 32" is 33" overall. The Gravely 32" is actually almost 35" wide! Too bad Gravely - I'd certainly buy one if it fit through a gate!
