Should I use non ethanol gas with my oil mix? Right now im using non ethanol in my 50:1 and 40:1 mix for my trimmers/blowers/edger.
I also use non ethanol in my mowers.

2 stroke doesn't like ethanol if you have the luxury of knowing you arent getting gas blended with ethanol you can keep your 2 stroke machines running a little longer.

It's definitely better for the engine and the carb and fuel lines. Doesn't degrade the parts and prematurely wear the engine.

I don't go through the hassle of going to another gas station just to get ethanol free fuel just because it's like 8 miles away and the other station is like 2 miles away.

I go through my gas so quickl it doesn't sit around enough for the ethanol to separate.

Ethanol is your equipment's enemy. Here in Florida, most gas stations sell a blend of 15% ethanol/85% gas. It makes less power, is less fuel efficient, and is hard on fuel systems. Not sure who thought we'd be better off with this stuff, but I suspect the ethanol people have a pretty strong political lobby. There is a website (pure-gas.org) that can help with locating ethanol free gasoline.

You can buy the "eth free pre-mix in a can" stuff. I'd drive 20 miles to get no eth fuel! Pick up a couple of gas cans full of it and add a bit of Stabil to it. Nothing good comes out of using fuel with ethanol....JMHO.

I've noticed a reduced occurrence of vapor lock using the canned stuff, especially when it's hot out in the 2 strokes. I tried stuffing an aluminum burrito wrapper around the fuel lines when using ethanol% and it helped a little. The pure gas station is 30 miles away city driving, any recommendations on a large hand cranked pump/ storage tank setup?
