Wish we could get some answers. I say flood her boss with calls. Somethings up, appears online chat on the Gravely site is no more and I asked a question on their website and no answer returned.

Buddy It was confirmed to me she is GONE!!! When you dealt with Mary Lyn she always did her best to get the right info or if you needed help she got it to you. I'm sure internally inside Gravely she could be seen as a thorn in the side because she had no problem seeking answers from any internal depts and held them to the fire. She had no problem getting dealers to straighten their acts out if they were delivering subpar cust service. Having an actual contact that could be reached easily was a big factor of keeping me a Gravely cust. I have 4 pcs of Gravely equip in my fleet right now. Gravely's not the only ones that can make a change !! I was looking at Scags as well as Gravely's on my last purchase this year and having Mary Lyn there was one of my deciding factors on sticking Gravely. Gravely gained a lot of traction on LS through the help of Mary Lyn. If another MFG picked her up and let her provide cust service the way she had done for Gravely that MFG could flip a lot of custs away from Gravely . She could do this job from a home office as it is internet based. If she was let go do to internal restructioning (saving money) etc that is a faux pas in my opinion and will bite you in the Azz. Don't think Gravely realized how well she was liked here. And I was proud of Gravely for stepping up and being really the only MFG that was utilizing the LS forum in the way you allowed Mary Lyn to connect with end users I considered it kind of the cutting edge of modern cust service. What a disappointment when I found out she was gone. Hopefully Gravely will respond soon and let us know how they are moving forward .......or not.

I agree with all you just said. I looked over many threads here before I switched over to Gravely. I saw those posts by Mary Lyn and saw that she represented Gravely in a very positive way. Also couldn't believe that a major manufacturer had a rep on this site helping people. Good dealers are few and far between in my opinion. Take for instance a call I put into my dealer about a part/ question I had about my Pro Stance that was less than 30 days old at the time. Called and stated I was a new customer and have a question about my brand new Graveky machine......was told someone will call me right back. Well let's see.......its been 7 days now and no call back. Great initial service right?!

Things like this you could PM Mary Lyn and get an answer and help within a few minutes to a few hours. Looks like Gravely themselves are following in the dealers tracks. An email asking for help sent by me on Monday, now it's Wednessy morning and no reply. Awesome......starting to feel like MAYBE.......MAYBE this could be the early stages of a turn to crappy service. I know it's early, maybe a minor issue that one customer is being ignored.....but C'mon Man!

Well that REALLY sucks! I liked her and I know she was a deciding factor for a ton of people that bought Gravely mowers including when I bought my second one. Im pretty surprised she's gone. I guess they really didn't know what they had in her

All of us Gravely owners need to call her manager, I think Norm posted the phone number in this thread or another one about this very issue.

    To the members of Lawnsite,

There have been a lot of questions this week about Mary Lyn, a former employee of Ariens Company whose job largely involved building relationships in the digital space, particularly on industry forums such as Lawnsite. Last week, due in part to low snow sales in 2015, we had to implement a reduction in our workforce which affected employees in multiple departments; Mary Lyn was included in this group. As a family-owned company, decisions like this are never easy, and they’re never considered unless there are no other options available. These decisions are never personal; Mary Lyn was a wonderful employee of this company.

We at Gravely want you to know that we are still committed to Lawnsite and to the valuable relationships that Mary Lyn created here with you all. While she was the single point of contact on this forum, what you may not have seen in your day-to-day interactions is that we have an entire team of dedicated employees at our corporate offices in Brillion who were, and still are, committed to helping answer your questions and resolve any issues that you may have. We are a company driven by our values, and our corporate mission statement is to astound our customers. We know that Mary Lyn did a fantastic job each and every day of achieving that mission, and we are confident that we can continue the same level of response.

Going forward, our staff will continue to interface with you on these forums and, while you may need to get to know some new names, we are excited to work with you. If you have any questions about Gravely, and want to message someone directly, please contact us and we will happily assist you.

    Thank you,

    The Gravely team

Got to wonder why the dealer's weren't dealing with problems? Like they should!

Thanks for the update and not to be critical but it may have been best to have info ready for sites that Mary Lynn frequented prior to making changes. She was and still is highly respected.

I grew up around Gravley's and utilize them in my business. My dealership in Surfside Beach SC is top notch and we share a mutual respect for each other.

I hope that Mary Lynn and everyone else that were affected by the lay off landed on their feet and are doing ok. Good luck to everyone there and continue to manufacture one of the best mowers on the market.

    Russell
