Ok here's the deal, I've got a new Echo SRM-265 and the Echo edger PE-265. My question is, is there any way to loosen the tension on the trigger? I've run Echo for years but have never experienced this problem. It's the trigger on the trimmer, it feels really tight and you really have to squeeze it to get it going. I don't have this problem on the edger, its trigger seems very easy to squeeze. I know this is an out of the ordinary question, but I've noticed a lot more hand fatigue lately while trimming because I have to squeeze the damn trigger so much harder to keep it at a steady speed. Any suggestions?

Check to make sure the cable isn't binding up. You could also disconnect the cable from the carb and then move the throttle arm on the carb to see if it is sticking or not. While the cable is off the carb, pull the trigger while hold the cable end and see if it's tight. If they are OK, then take the trigger assembly apart, it might have debris or something making it get tight.
