# of clients lost because of increased price this season?

    2 so far here. Does not matter, as it had to be done....BTW it was only a small increase on these 2. Did all mine on a case by case basis.

    Im only raising a couple this year shouldn't be too bad

    I raised all accounts by $1.50 per week to cover increased cost of gas, maintenance and insurance. Have not lost any accounts. Only 2 customers complained.

    I lost one commercial but they still owe me money. letters got to peoples homes today saying call to cancel only or for more services. Raised most people 7-12 dollars a month.

    I don't care how many I lose this year due to a price increase. Less number of customers with more $$$ is ok with me.

    How did you present the increase? By mail, on the phone or in person? How did you explain the increase?

    raised the price on 80 accounts by 10%, lost 2......so far...

    most 3%, some as much as 15%-lost none.

    By Phone....reason - mainly fuel costs.

    Waiting till anniversary dates. makes it easier for retention since that will be in early to mid season.

    Only one I have raised so far went from 165 to 235 monthly. Was honoring an old contract (over the winter) Now that spring is here he gets the new (my) price. Forewarned, but we will see if he cancels after the first new invoice.
