    Is one brand significantly better?

It's seems like most of the mower manufacturers don't list the clutch in the specs, but the ones that do seem to have Ogura.

And how about the torque rating?
The Ferris is600z I'm considering uses a 200 ft lb torque Warner clutch. Will this be a good unit?

    Just wanted to bump this.

Also, the parts manual cross reference with an online vendor seems to indicate that it's a 200 ft lb model, but the dealer said it's a 65 ft lb model.

    Not sure who to believe...

You rarely if ever see any posts here about clutches failing.....I would sweat bigger details like engines, deck and hydros before blade clutch.......You would have issues with those long before clutch I think.
