I bought a new Gravely 1548G mower this year and it's ready for its first oil change. Went to my dealer and bought an oil filter for a 15 hp Kawasaki and it cost $14.00, feel like thats high, any thoughts??

I'll say. Have you tried looking online? Some places will allow you to buy in bulk at a good savings.

About 10 years ago, my folks had a Woods CM36 walkbehind powered by a Kawasaki 13hp engine. I remember that small oil filter cost about $9 at the dealer. Ouch.

I got lucky recently looking for oil filters for my 15hp Kohler and found a place online that had a limited supply of cases for 24.00, it didn't take me long to place my order for a case when the cheapest filter I could find was 9.50ea.
They were out of Tulsa OK.
