after 30 years of using fram filters, (with no oil related failures) I suppose I ought to re-consider my choices.

    good info sammy.

    Thanks Sammy-

Geo I'm in the same boat as you always used fram without any problems. Should I consider a change??? Too many choices

To bad the Amsoil filter wasn't done yet. It would have been interesting to see how it stood up to the rest.

I never believed there was much difference in filters, but I have changed my mind in the last couple of years after reading articles and doing some. research.

Actually the Amsoil filter was tested, by Amsoil. It was just a tick better than the Mobil 1 and in most cases cost a lot more.
