    Hey all-

I just read a post and saw something about on spot tire sets? What are these and are they beneficial. I have a 99 Dodge Ram 2500 with 8' Western pro plow on it (if it matters).

    Thanks

On spots are permany chains that hang under the vehicle. When activated they lower and rotate so that they are thrown under the tire improving traction. They must be activated nefore the vehicle gets stuck. They are usually found on buses, fire trucks and heavy dual wheel vehicles. Not very practical for 4X4 pickups.
