Going to be a big year for my company this year.
Making a big marketing push in a new area. Have 10k postcards & 5k doorhangers on order from Plan it graphics. All graphics are being changed to my new logo and phone number. Went with a local # for the new area.

My focus is on lawn maintenance and Landscape/Irrigation installs.
My enclosed trailer is getting vinyl wrapped in the next two weeks & my dually is getting matching graphics. (Kajun Flood Workz will get its own truck come summer). Plan is to really push being a fully licensed & insured Full Service Company. no more pay by the cut. All accnts will be on a 12/month pay schedule.

So far for 2014, im working up proposals for 3x HOAs in the new Marketing area and a Drainage/Irrigation install for a small 6 acre horse ranch.

Best Wishes for everyone in the New Year.

Didn't you just re-letter the dodge for kajun flood works? So you're taking it off and re-lettering it?

You're making mowing/landscape/irrigation your focus-what about bush hogging? Seems like you did a lot of that this year.

    Best of luck man!

I'm thinking the same thing. I've been reading your posts for the past few years. Every time you do a job you think is fun you re gear you whole Buisness and market that. I've seen tree trimming, landscaping, debris removal, irrigation, sandbags, bush hogging, stump digging, lawn mowing .......I'm sure I've missed a few.

It looks to me if you would stick to one you would be much better off.

    Best of luck in 2014!!!

2014 will make 9yrs as a company(parttime & fulltime) and as i sit back and think about the last few years, i lost site of why i started this company.
i will always be a grass cutter at heart. I enjoy looking at a property after we have just serviced it see the results of our labor. I have a passion for landscaping. so that is what i bringing my focus back too. my roots.

We are targeting Approx 15 communities. most range in the house value of $250-450K. three of the communities have houses in the $700k-$3mil range. my goal is build a route of Maintenance accnts and by next spring beable to set up a landscape/irrigation install crew along with a maintenance crew.

i will still bid and accept bushhogging jobs and will do tree work for existing customers only.

Subscribing. Interesting in seeing your ventures. It's going to be at least a month & a half before we do commercial prop bids and it'll probably 3.5 months before we run anything on turf.
