About a month ago I bought a new Stihl FS94R and am liking it more and more every time I use it. I had used a RedMax TR2300S since 2006 and thought it was the lightest and best one I had every used. I grabbed the RedMax the other evening to trim my Dads house and after using the FS94 for a month, the Redmax felt kinda puny and weak! The new Stihl is good on fuel and is very easy to start. I really like the way the head loads and holds a lot of string. It has plenty of power for serious trimming and I have yet to feel it is lacking in power. If you are looking for a good lightweight trimmer.. don't hesitate . You will like it!!

Did not realize this. Hmmmm...
I just bought a new FS90R this spring so I could make my old one a backup.
I looked at the 94R on paper, but my dealer said he hadn't even heard of it at teh time. I showed it to him on my phone, but he said they hadn't sent him any at that point.
I didn't have time to wait around, so I just got the 90R. It's a great trimmer, but I do find it a tad heavy and the valve adjustment is about my only real gripe about it.
Can you guys clarify the purpose of the "wheel"? I had assumed it was a "cruise control", but I think it's just some sort of "limiter" that keeps you from going over a set point. Am I correct?
