Online Payments

I noticed a lot of lawn care businesses accept credit cards on their website, often through Paypal. I have some experience with eCheck and I know that it is much cheaper than credit cards. Paypal charges 3% per transaction, a merchant account can get it to 2% but that is still a lot of money if you have a lot of customers. EChecks (also known as ACH) can be in the $.50 per transaction range or lower, and can be recurring for your monthly customers. I'm curious if any of you are taking advantage of this?

Full disclosure: I don't work in lawn care and am a web developer. I've been looking into the idea of creating a website for lawn care companies to accept payments though eCheck. I'm interested to find out if this is something that would be helpful to you before I waste my time making something nobody wants.
