As the current mowing season is approaching an end I've been thinking about a fully enclosed mow trailer. Got the new BT 70LR at the beginning of last year. A huge huge disappointment. I have a hybrid partial enclosed partial open high side we use for leaves. Don't want anything quite that long for mowing 22ft. Any suggestions on a quality enclosed tandem trailer. I'm sick of buying crappy made products. At least 7x14. I don't know much about the companies that make enclosed trailers. TIA.

I think Aluma makes some of the nicest enclosed trailers I've seen. Featherlite also makes a very nice trailer. I run a H&H enclosed single axle, its not as nice as the other ones I mentioned but its also cheaper.

I have a single axle 7x10 v nose. Wish I would have gotten a 7 x 12 or 7 x 14 twin axle.

You definitely want two axles (3500lb ea) on a 7x14. Should come with electric brakes. My 7x10 has a heavy duty frame. The the tongue/ball mount is 2 5/16". Watch wall construction and the side wall thickness, there are big differences. Mine has Z channel walls with 1/4" plywood walls inside. Anywhere I have mounted hanging items I have reinforced by glueing 3/8" plywood to he walls. In the V I covered both wings and built a shelf and its rock solid. Seems to be holding up well. I think the hat post walls or tubing would be stronger. Mine has one vent really should have a at least two. I get some flex out of the drop down gate but the mower is just shy of 1000lbs. Over with my fat self on it. Seems to be holding up fine but look at the hinges. Mine are welded and have zirks. Not a big name brand but seems to be pretty solid so far. I gave a tad under $3000, ordered it thru an online dealer near Detroit that sold a few brands and picked up at factory in Middlebury In. Was about 40 miles away from my house. Saved a good chunk of coin doing that. When I was starting out I needed to have trailer act as my storage but didn't want to overspend.

I bought a Wells Cargo in 2000 and had it till it got stolen in 2014. Held up very well. All aluminum so weight was kept low and it was a "Landscaper" edition with reinforced floor and ramp. Also had plywood up the walls and across the front. I built a shelf across the front and put 5/8 plywood about 16" up the sides for deck rub. Mounted trimmer and blower racks to the inside and held up great.

It was a 7X16 with brakes and 2 5/16th ball.

I did spend over 6000 when I bought it though.

I have a 6x12 duel axel Pace American enclosed. I don't have storage area so I love that aspect of the enclosed. I will say though, it didn't take long to run out of room. I'd jump at the chance to upgrade, just not in the cards right now.

I also have a 6x12 pace trailer but mine is a single axle. I haul 1600lbs in it daily and have had zero issues, it's only a year old though. For the price, I'd buy one every few years without an issue, but this one seems to be holding up thus far. I managed to grind a curb at the drive thru yesterday and lose a dust cover for the wheel hub, other than that it's been fantastic. Mine also does not have plywood it has this particle board that is considered to be waterproof, i forgot what it's called. The floor of the trailer is exposed 100% if you look from the bottom. I also don't have the heavy duty frame, it's 24 on center if i recall correctly.

I have a 6x12 Leonard single axle enclosed that is very nice but a friend of mine has a 7x16 Homesteader tandem axle enclosed with 7 foot ceilings and plenty of room. They are very nice a fairly priced from what I've seen. I would like to upgrade mine but I don't want to go a foot wider due to some of the streets I mow down and getting in and out of driveways

My dad has a Homesteader Hercules. Nice looking trailer. But we have several complqints. Seal around edge of single piece roof is full of bubbles where it wasn't pressed down well, wiring for lights are on places it were run on trailer and wear through insulation, other issues, and most recently we noticed rusty water running out of the front of the tube frame when we were moving it. Brand new this April, 6x10. It just it's in the driveway for storage.

I'd look at an R&R out of Michigan. A good aluminum trailer will be about 6K. Worth it considering it will hold up well. 60,000 miles on mine with just normal maintenance

Many more miles than our does. Ours is closer to 7 or so.

Still will have to get rid of my 1 year old big Tex first, well ideally, before I bite at the enclosed but it is looking more and more like the way to go. It will actually give me a garage that I can work on equipment in on rain days etc. Right now when the equipment is parked in there I can't even walk through it to get to the back door. Heck may even pop in an AC unit when I finally get an enclosed.

I enjoyed the garage space when I went to enclosed. Sure is nice to save an unload at the end of the day.

I’m 6’6” tall. So an enclosed trailer is not too appealing to me. My goal is to get a dedicated 14’ or 16’ open landscaping trailer that I can just back into my garage.

I have a single axle enclosed with electric brakes and a 3500# axle. 7x12 with a 2’ vnose. Enclosed trailers are nice, keeps equipment out of the elements especially if you don’t have a shop. Like some other people have said, saves loading & unloading at the start/end of each day. Mine is 6.6 high inside and I’m only 5.9 so I can stand up no problem inside. Marine grade floor is what you want.

It probably varies due to location, but that price sure seems extremely high? I guess maybe I don't know what some of the high end ones go for.

Around here you can get an interstate, haulmark or a pace trailer 8.5x20 for $5-$8k range.

What were the issues you had? I looked at that model trailer but could nto find one close enough. It looks like the idea setup for a lawn care company, but I would definitely be interested to know what issues you had that turned you away.
