Just wondering if it's really ok to use the opti-2 oil in the 4 mix engines? Just got a new FC95 edger a week and a half ago, and for the last many years Iv'e been a strong believer in the Opti-2 oil, BUT is it good enough (enough oil ratio) for the 4 mixers?

I would use Stihl's Ultra or High performance oils only. I have had to decarbon to many 4-mix engines from using other oils.

Well that's no good... I use several brands of 2 stroke equipment and love having one can of mix on the trailer for everything... I *think* that about everthing I have runs 50:1 though. Maybe Sthil oil would work best for everything? Maybe use Opti, only mix it richer?

Well Katie Rose  JK I would use the oil recommended by Jay, the Sthil four mix units seem to be having lots of issues, even the Sthil dealer in my area does not like selling them. It's a major PITA but you may want to have a small fuel can just for the 4-mix.
