Out bided by Big Expensive Company

    I thought I was cheap at $65 a yard no pruning, edging or weeding.

    Really hard to say the reason you didn't get it. But I will always call and find out what was taken. More or less for my benefit. You can't win them all but you can get somewhat of a feel for what the market is doing. In the commercial construction part of business it is standard information on what the final bid was taken. Just last week a bid was put in and the decision was made Monday. Called to see what the final number was and they stated they do not give the final numbers out. Just said take my company off the vendor list then.

    They probly were more expensive and just did a better sale. We win bids often without having the lowest price . Its not all about bidding the lowest price to get the job.

    How do you even get in contact with the people/company to be presented and submit a bid?
