But fall about Aug 28, is better--warm ideal soil temp--and a lot less weed and crabgrass pressure in the fall. Plus you don't have to worry about heat in June and July kiling your new grass. Use top quality disease resistant seed. 80 percent blue and 20 rye works well. Water every day for 30 days.
